Blackwell House Museum The Blackwell House, the oldest home in Canton, was built in 1886 for Henry F. Blackwell II, his wife and eight children. Blackwell, an early merchant in Canton, also served as County Sheriff. Many alterations and changes were made to the house through the years, including addition of several rooms. Continuously occupied by Blackwell family members until 1975, the house was donated to the city in 1988 by descendants of the original occupants. (903-848-0675)
